FAQs

Q: Won’t clean sheets protect me from dust mites, germs, fungus, etc.?

A: NO, dust mites and the like are so small, it would be like tying to keep rats inside a chain link fence. They would simply walk through the holes in the fence, or in the case of dust mites through the weave of the sheets.

Q: Why can't I just vacuum my own mattress / sofa?

A: Traditional household or commercial vacuums do not have the extraction power to remove the highly resilient dust mites, bacteria, allergy triggering contaminants and other harmful debris that are deeply embedded in the mattress, blanket, sofa etc. And, they do not incorporate the all important germ suction and killing.

In addition, most standard household vacuums are designed primarily for use on carpets and therefore the stiff bristles embedded in the rotating brush may cause serious damage to the mattress surface as well as other upholstered items.

Q: After buying a new mattress how long should it be before it needs sanitizing? How often should a residential mattress be cleaned and sanitized?

A: Dust and dust mites are commonly locked in any Mattress, Sofa which is older than 3 months. Dust mites thrive on the skin flakes we shed every night. It cause major health hazards like asthma, sinusitis, early morning sneezing and dermatitis in most of the healthy people. Dust mites could multiply to even 2 millions on a mattress.

The older the mattress, the worst the infestation, if it has not been previously sanitized.

The recommended service interval is once every six months. In cases where a person suffers from severe allergies or asthma, we recommend servicing the mattress once every three months.

Q: Can sanitizing the mattress cure asthma or allergies?

A: No, it doesn't offer any cure to pre-existing allergies but it can relieve the symptoms by eliminating the biggest cause that triggers those symptoms, which is dust mite fecal matter, dust mite saliva and regurgitation, and dead dust mites.

It will help to reduce the severity and frequency of allergy attacks. It also removes mold spores, bacteria, fungus, and other contaminates in the mattress which can also cause allergic reactions.

Those allergy and asthma suffers will definitely improve and some particular allergy disappears altogether and the need for regular medication is eliminated. Asthma sufferers will surely enjoy a better night's sleep and will become less dependent on their breathing aids when waking up in the morning.

Children are the biggest concern, because it has been found that high exposure to dust mites and other contaminates can cause children to develop asthma and allergy problems. With children spending more and more time indoors, we are seeing an epidemic of asthma. These contaminates need to be removed from the home, and that’s where you come in.

Q: How long does it take to service a mattress?

A: This depends upon the size of the mattress. For example, a king-sized mattress takes approximately 20-minutes. A queen-sized mattress takes 18-minutes. You may reduce this time by 2-minutes for every size reduction from queen-size down.

Q: Will the process of sanitizing a mattress or upholstery be messy? Is there any cleanup required after you are done?

A: No, just pack up of the equipment which is simple and you are all done. The sofa, mattress, carpet etc is dry and ready to use within no time.

Q: Is the Sanitizing system safe for use around children?

A: Absolutely. Since there are no chemicals used in the Sanitizing process, there's nothing to harm infants or children in any way. In fact, we recommend that the system be used on cribs, young children's mattresses, stuffed toys, blankets, as well as carpeting if present in a child's room.

Q: Can an old mattress, blanket or sofa be cleaned effectively?

A: Yes, most definitely. Mattresses, blanket or sofa that are old will have much higher levels of dust mites and fecal droppings, dead skin, fungal spores, bacteria and germs. This will also apply to hand-me-down ones as well. Our process is extremely effective and will make them clean and fresh again.

Q: Do protective mattresses cover & sofa cover work?

A: Tests have shown that they do not work very well and every mattress or sofas tested with them have shown to be contaminated. If you put a protective cover over an unsanitized mattress or sofa you will be incubating the bacteria, mold, and fungus.

However, if you already have them or you are intending to buy some, then only use them on a brand new mattress, sofa or one that has just been sanitized by us.

Q: Does the Sanitizing process eliminate Bed Bugs?

A: Sanitizing machine is highly powerful. The allergens, bed bugs, dust mites etc are sucked into the medicated water by vibrating, beating, brushing and this process leaves a sanitized aroma.

Q: Is it really necessary to treat the carpet, and if so, how hard is it?

A: It is important to treat the carpets as well as the mattresses and furniture. Carpets also contain dust mites, and other pathogens. So carpets need to be treated as well. Not doing so will result in not give you the full benefit of the cleaning. It is easy to treat carpets.
